A unique book featuring beautiful photos of dogs in iconic, dog-friendly businesses and areas of the Texas Hill Country. Tails of the Hill Country - A Dogs' Adventure Guide is by Janet Deltuva, an award-winning pet photographer and retired US Air Force colonel. Janet worked on the project full-time alongside a team of two fellow professional pet photographers, who helped capture beautiful portraits of dogs in locales across the Hill Country. The book guides visitors traveling with their dogs; all proceeds go directly to the US War Dogs Association. The book is dedicated to an extraordinary military working dog named Bass W131. Bass was a multi-purpose canine (MPC) who received the PDSA Dickin Medal from England in 2023 for gallantry and devotion to duty in the face of the enemy while deployed in Afghanistan.

The book is for dog lovers everywhere, especially those who plan to visit Texas Hill Country and would like to know about dog-friendly places to play, eat, tour, and stay.
